our story.

Barrera, our Spanish surname, embodies the concept of "barrier." Throughout our lives, we've encountered numerous barriers. Now, united as siblings and artists in our own right, we are determined to shatter them.

At BREAKBARRIERS, we redefine creativity as a force for change. We are more than a creative agency — we are a movement, driven by a director, content creator, and photographer.

Through multi-genre documentaries, short films, and social media content, we aim to amplify voices that often go unnoticed in a new way. Our mission is clear: to champion social justice, equity, and underrepresented narratives. Most importantly, to explore terrirotry that others might be scared or uncomfortable to.

Rooted in our Gen-Z perspective and shaped by our upbringing, we challenge the status quo with every project. Based in Michigan, we believe in the power of Midwest stories, yet our impact transcends borders. With a portfolio containing  collaborations with brands such as Meta, Prada, and Urban Decay, recognition at Academy-Award Qualifying film festivals, and awards from the YoungArts Foundation, Sotheby’s and the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, we have proven that creativity knows no bounds.
